Challenge # 6: Draw Street Elevation. Total All Costs & add details to Site Plan.
1. Draw Street Elevation:
A Street Elevation is the view of the front of your house from the street.
It shows where the house sits on your block and what other solid structures are on your block.
Your House must reflect the dimensions from your site plan. i.e Width of block, distance house is from each side boundary.
You must scale the facade you use against the width of your floor plan. Once you have established the scale for your facade you can use this scale to work out the measurements for the front of your house; Wall height, doors & window sizes & positions.
Street Elevations are drawn to a scale of 1:50 on A3 paper in a Landscape View.
i.e 20mm on your ruler = 1m on the Site Plan.
All Street Elevations must include the following:
Title Block (Details of what is drawn is placed in the Title Block).
Title of your drawing.
1:50 Scale.
Fence-line to the left & right.
Other solid structures on your front yard. e.g Mail box, Feature entry, Carport etc.
Measurements otherwise known as Dimensions.
Table showing the cost of the facade you chose. The rest of the costings will be on your site plan.
The Street Elevation is to be coloured including the sky.
Please see here for more information about street elevations.
Please see here for help getting started.
2. Total all costs & add details to Site Plan.
The final part of this challenge is to total all of the costs for each room and area and update your site plan.
